Drilling Carbide Inserts

Cutting Tools

A drilling insert is a cutting tool that is locked on the tool holder. The integral types include all-tungsten steel long drill bits, HSS long drill bits, and milling cutter shank drill bits. Usually, when the diameter of the tool reaches a critical point, a disposable insert will be used. Instead, in order to reduce costs, the combination is: tool holder, blade, positioning screw.

Different tool holder designs can complete different drilling diameters and depths. The most common problem is chipping, so there are many versions to choose from, general drilling inserts are widely used in manufacturing, mechanical processing, construction and other fields, and are used to process metal, plastic, wood, ceramics and other materials to make holes, grooves, penetrations and other operations. Selecting the appropriate drilling insert and cutting parameters is critical to achieving the correct hole size, surface quality and productivity.
